| After purchasing numerous dryers and returning them for various reasons, my hairdresser recommended this one as she bought one. I love it. It is low on noise. Others I tried were so loud they hurt my ears while I was drying my hair. It does not blow too hard, blowing your hair all over the place. It seems to dry it faster and reduces the frizziness. The heat is hot enough but not so hot it burns your face or scalp. Lastly, it is not too heavy. I bought one for my daugher also, and she really likes it. Hopefully it will last a long time. |

| I was skeptical that this 1300 watt dryer would do the job of typical 1850 watt models but the CHI does an excellent job -- even with the heat setting switched off. Although this is the most expensive hair dryer I've purchased, I'm totally satisfied with the results so far. Excellent build quality and perfect size makes it well worth the money. |

| I thought $80 was a lot to spend on a dryer, but after reading other reviews I thought maybe it would be worth it. And it is! The dryer is lightweight and super quiet. I didn't have any problems with the attachments either. The best part is that my hair doesn't look like I dried it with a flame-thrower. It's shiny and soft with no friz and my hair is rather wavy and thick, plus is regularly colored. I'd definitely suggest you buy this! |

I am very pleased with this hairdryer. My hair is long and I was thinking about cutting it until I got this hairdryer, it makes my hair feel softer and look healthier and the best thing is how much faster it drys my hair. With my old dryer I never finished drying my hair, it just took too long.

| Worth every penny! I've only ever used hair dryers that cost between $20 and $30 and there is NO comparison to the CHI. This is the BEST one I've ever used. It's quiet and dries hair really fast! My hair feels so much healthier and shinier when I'm done drying it, not frizzy and fly away like it normally does with the cheap dryers. I bought the CHI flat iron first and LOVED it. That's what prompted me to try the hair dryer and I'm so glad I did. I will never use those cheap hair dryers again! |

| I never understood why people would spend more than 15 bucks on a hair dryer...now I have my answer. My hair, which is fairly thick, dries in less than 10 minutes with this dryer. With my old dryer, I had to dry my hair in shifts or it would just get too hot. The Chi Pro solves this problem. My hair is dried in one short session. Highly recommended! |

The main thing I was looking for was a quiet machine - I cannot stand all of that loud noise in my ears. | This hairdryer is worth every penny! Is has such strong power, especially with the "cool" button, and dries hair super fast. I received lots of compliments on how shiny/silky my hair looks. It a bit heavy, but not terrible. It also comes with two attachments, which I love having, but find them very hard to "attach" - you need to push them into place and I have pinched my fingers several times. I am hoping they loosen up. I love the extra-long cord and it's not very loud. I am already debating the Chi straightener and have recommended this hairdryer to everyone I know! It is fantastic and I will never go back! |

| I want to preface my review by saying that the only hair dryers I have for comparison are the ones that can be purchased for around $20 at wally-world, so my view may be biased by that. I was hesitant to fork out the extra cash for a hair dryer. I have a LOT of hair and it's long, so my hair dryers usually give out after a year or two. I haven't had this one that long, but even so, it uses less wattage, but gets my hair dry in about the same time. I had previously been using an 1875 watt dryer which tended to trip a lot of breakers. This one is only 1300 watts and hasn't tripped any breakers thus far. It also doesn't get as hot which leaves my hair much healthier, but the ceramic components help my hair get dry in around the same amount of time. I would definitely say that this was worth the extra $$. The only thing I can't speak for is it's longevity, but I'm hopeful that it will outlast the others I've had. |

| I have fine wavy hair that breaks easily. Other blow driers have damaged my hair and made it frizz. This one dries my hair quickly on the low setting, leaving it silky, soft, and smooth. Now I can dry and style my hair in 5 minutes when it used to take at least 15. The heat of the high setting is good for setting curls and for a quick dry before running out the door. The decreased wattage of the low setting was a plus, as higher wattage driers fry my hair and trip the circuit breaker. I don't have any problems with the shape, weight, or position of buttons. The one disadvantage that I knew of before purchasing the drier was having the air speed, heat, and wattage settings combined with only two options (low and high). I was concerned that the low setting would be slow in drying my hair and the high setting would be too hot and/or damaging. However, I have not had a problem with either one. I'm looking forward to testing it out during the heat and humidity of summer to see if I can blow out my curls without having my hair frizz within minutes of leaving the house. |

I read all the reviews before purchasing this dryer. I kept my expectations in check, not wanting to be disappointed when it performed like every other hair dryer I've ever had. Then when it arrived, I saw that I couldn't control the speed and the heat separately, which is my preference and is usually a big deciding factor in my choice of dryer. That made me even more skeptical that I would be satisfied with it. I decided to give it one try before I sent it back. Boy, was I ever in for a surprise.
I have very long, thick, wavy/curly hair that I dry straight most of the year (not summer, too hot). My husband says that I go through more hair dryers than any other person on earth. It could be true - I could be too hard on them or I just have bad hair dryer mojo, either way they usually last me about a year before something breaks or it burns out. So the fact that people said this one only lasts a year didn't phase me all that much, it would be business as ususal.
If this lasts a year, it will be worth every cent. In fact, I'm considering buying another one at this price to have on-hand for that inevitable day.
It normally takes me 10-15 minutes to dry my hair straight and this dryer did it in half the time. My hair was smooth, shiny, soft to the touch and had a great moveable quality to it. I used the same shampoo and straightening lotion I always do, so that wasn't it. AND, I didn't have to use any spray or finishing creme, which is incredibly unusual for me. It stayed that way all day, even through drizzle.
I LOVE my hair and it's been ages since I could say that, and I never thought it would be a hair dryer that made me say it.
As far as the expense, I've easily wasted $70 on hair products that didn't work in an attempt to get my hair to exhibit the characteristics it had today after one use of this dryer.
Bonus - it's very, very quiet compared to any other dryer I've used. That's not a deal-breaker for me, but it's sure nice to have.

| You have to know I am the cheapest person alive. I have expensive taste but rarely indulge myself. My hair is very long and curly and after my old dryer finally died on me ($15 dryer from walgreens that lasted me SIX YEARS!)... I began the hunt for a new one. This dryer is quite a lot more than I had paid for my previous conair (15 bucks) but I believe that you get what you pay for. In this case I couldn't have been more WRONG. It was quiet and dried my long hair quickly without frizzing it out which was great but when I pay this much money for something I expect for it to last. I used it 2-3 times a week, never dropped it and took really good care of it. One day I pulled it out to get ready for work and ending up going to work with a huge messy wet head. Out of no where it will slowly blow air that isn't even barely warm... it wont heat up and it only blows on the lowest setting. Am I ill? You can only imagine. Now I can't return this useless piece of junk that I wasted hard earned money on in this economy and I will never EVER buy one from Chi or amazon again- return policy for faulty items blows. |

I have been so annoyed with my old blow dryer, that I had started washing and air drying my hair. Last Sunday I finally decided that i needed to stop walking around with bad hair, and get a new blow dryer. I did not know where or how to find a good one, so I went on Consumer Report website and found that this dryer was highly rated.
I came on Amazon's website, and after looking at the reviews, I felt comfortable enough to purchase this, and it arrived on Wednesday. I washed my hair this evening and am extremely pleased with my new dryer. It was neither too loud nor too hot, and it dried my thick course hair very quickly, and my hair is soft and beautiful like I've never seen it unless done by my salon.
I figured my hair would look good, but I honestly wasn't expecting this result. I'm already looking forward to washing my hair.

Having never splurged more than $20 on a dryer, buying this one was a big leap of faith. Based on the good reviews, I built up the courage to splurge. 3 months later I can say that it's worth every single penny.
My hair dries fast, without appearing damaged or feeling fried. Since it's only 1300 watts I was worried it would take longer than my older, higher wattage, ionic dryer. It doesn't; on the contrary it's much faster. My hair turns out softer and shinier than I remember. It even seems to eliminates the frizz-factor - much appreciated! The whole hair-drying experience is a bit more civilized than before. Welcome to the dryer of the 21st century. |

| This blow dryer was well worth the extra money, which was only about $50 more than a standard dryer. It puts out good heat and does everything the product claims. The best feature, in my opinion, is how quiet this dryer is. My wife uses a dryer every morning and the hearing loss this saves her is well worth the extra money. I expect it to last longer as well, but that remains to be seen. I have seen lower cost dryers that "burn up" after a few years so if this lasts longer, it may actually average out to lower cost. I noticed the power is only 1300 watts, which may help to keep it quiet, but it dries hair just as quickly, if not quicker. I tried several other dryers, including the popular Babyliss, but I found this Chi dryer to be the quietest by far. |

I bought this hairdryer after my trusty BabyBliss ceramic started sparking and smoking. I loved my old dryer, but it was super loud and pretty heavy.
When I first turned the new dryer on I was surprised at how quiet it was and had some reservations about how well it would dry my hair since it wasn't blowing very hard or hot. I was shocked at how fast my hair dried. With the BabyBliss my hair took a solid 30 minutes, and that's if I was rushing. The Chi dried my hair in twice as fast. I was so used to the timing of my old dryer that my hair was dry before I had a chance to style it. The first round my hair did have a lot of static and was a little flat. But I found that I had to adjust to the new dryer- I have to start to style it much earlier, about 10 minutes in, to get good body and curl the ends. Now that I've become accustomed to the Chi's speedy work, my hair looks great and I've got an extra 10 minutes in the morning. |

I bought this dryer after years of using an old Avanti. I liked the avanti pretty well and was sceptical of changing brands. When I received this dryer I was at first dissapointed at the lack of a very strong air flow, and the lack of mutilple heat ranges. This one has just a high and low switch. I could have bought the Rocket model for $40 more and got the extra controls and more power. I have to say that after a few weeks using this CHI Pro model, I really like. I like the air flow, and the Hi and Lo settings are all I need. It does dry your hair faster than just hot air and it leaves your hair soft. It seems to dry the hair without striping out all the moisture. I attribute that to the Ion Flow Feature.
No more frizzy hair! My old dryer would leave my hair in a stand up mode, try to comb it and it would jump up to comb, and it was so noisy that when I turned it on my dalmatian would leave the room. This CHI Pro is very quiet and relaxing to use, no more static hair, and the dog now stays on his sofa. In my opinion this is a great, well made product, and I recommend it highly.

| I purchased this dryer after talking to my hair stylist. She only uses this product and along with Pureology shampoo, my hair alway came out soft and not frizzy at all. Although my hair is not naturally frizzy, I get it highlightened, so this has made my hair somewhat damaged. I never thought a hair dryer could make such a difference!! I could never achieve the same feling or texture of my hair at home with my dryer. I decided to give this Chi dryer a try and I am so happy I did. It really does dry my hair quicker, and the frizz is gone. I have long hair, and it has not frizzed up or have the same amount of flyaways. I read that other buyers of these dryers say they may not last long, but I can assure you that I will buy another when this one stops working. | The difference between this blow dryer and a cheaper brand like conair or revlon is amazing! I don't even have to straighten my hair because it gives it a frizz free, beach blown look. I have naturally straight hair so if you have curly hair then it might not do that for you but my favorite feature is that when I am done my hair is frizz free and like 50% more soft where with other dryers I have used in the past it would require some product to minimize the frizz. I can tell that this dryer damages your hair less than other blow dryers which of course is Great! I recommend it to everyone! |

| We've had a lot of hair driers over the years. Most of them work OK, but are noisy. The Chi Pro was recommended to us by our hairdresser. We bought one several years ago. It's amazingly quiet and does an excellent job of drying hair. After three years, it's still running fine, although it has gotten a little noisier. But it's still better than the $19.95 ones you get at department stores. I'm ordering another one to use after the current one dies. |

I have only used cheap $20 hairdryers. I have been having so many bad hair days. I thought it must be my hair [getting older], or maybe it's the cut, or maybe the product I put on my thick curly hair. I would dry my hair & then have to wet down the ends so they weren't frizzy. Crazy!

I have heavy hair, so I've always purchased pro hairdryers, and am really happy with this one. It's actually a bit lighter than the last unit I owned, and it drys well. I have no trouble getting the defuser on the end and feel that the design, while not as deep as my old defuser, is still good.
My only comment is for Amazon. Please consider packaging the dryer more carefully when shipping it, and please mark the outside packaging as "Fragile.". Mine arrived packaged within a larger box with no protective cushioning between the boxes. I've read quite a few customer reviews that complain about the unit's short life and voided warranty. All of my past dryers have failed when the internal housing came loose, and receiving a unit that's been banged around during shipping with no protection gives me pause for thought: How long will the unit now last?
Buyers: this really is a great unit. I can't recall if the shopping cart section allows users to make comments, but if it does, be sure to ask Amazon to pad the internal box thoroughly - top, bottom and sides, and mark the package "Fragile." That will do the trick. |

| I love this hair dryer. I have fine, loose curly hair that is prone to frizz - easily created with my old coiled wire style of hair dryer. This hair dryer does not create as much frizz. I was a little concerned about the lack of heat control but have not found this a problem. The only con I have found so far is that the diffuser gets too hot to remove immediately after use - but this is not a big deal for me. |

| I have coarse, thick hair, it gets frizzy easily and coloring for the past 15 years doesn't help. I have noticed since using the Chi dryer, my hair doesn't frizz easily ( I live in the Florida, the humidity is a nightmare for my hair) and my hair is a lot smoother. Since it is only 1300 watt, the dryer is not too noisy and my hair doesn't seem as damaged as it used to be. Even though it is a 1300 watt dryer, it does dry your hair quickly and makes it shiney. |

I compared several dryers when I shopped, and this one had the best combination of features I wanted - lightweight, quiet, powerful, and with temperature and speed settings.
I have been using it for over a month now and I love it. It really delivers - it is very light to hold in your hand, extremely quiet, and it dries my hair well. I don't know how to describe the drying...it's very, very hot, and the air flow is really directed. My hair looks great. It comes with a diffuser and a director. I have only used the diffuser to dry my hair wavy, and it's a great diffusor. After I bought it and had been enjoying it for a few weeks, I went to get a haircut and saw that my stylist uses the same dryer. She loves it, too, and she uses hers all day long. Overall, the product is definitely worth the money to me. |

I saw these hair dryers in the store a while ago, and thought it was nuts to spend close to a hundred dollars on a hair dryer. There was nothing wrong with my $30 model; my hair dried just fine. This hairdryer, though, works so much better!
A few weeks ago, I went to a spa and while I was drying my hair, I noticed -- it was so conspicuous -- how quiet the dryer was. I finished drying my hair in what seemed like less time, and left the spa feeling like the treatment left my hair softer and smoother than before. I thought it was just the spa environment. The next day I bothered to notice the brand of the hairdryer, and was recognized the "chi" brand.
I came home and bought the hairdryer, knowing I could return it to the store if my experience didn't duplicate the experience I had at the spa.
I still have the hairdryer. The dryer is much more quiet, it dries my hair faster, AND it does leave it smoother (it wasn't the spa products or their water!). I wish I had bought this years ago.... it is so very much worth it.
STRONGLY RECOMMENDED. This model is great. Maybe the $200 model is better, but this one is good enough. If I were to lose the dryer tomorrow, I would go out and repurchase it again quickly. It really is that good. |

| I always buy $20 hair dryers...they all blow hot air and dry hair, right? Nope! Farouk Chi IS different...I was worried telling my husband I spent $72 on a blow dryer, I mean really, $72.00?! First, I am in my mid 40's and you start to worry what you have done to yourself by not taking the best care of yourself over the years...my hearing for example, once damaged over the years it does not improve, it is forever lost...this hair dryer is VERY quiet, NICE! Second, I have medium/long length thin, fine hair that damages easily and I surely don't want to lose any hair as I get older...I can dry my hair on high setting (does not scorch your scalp) and be done in less than 5 min...that includes styling w/round brush...and the volume I get is amazing and it lasts all day! I won't go back...this dryer costs around $120 plus at Ulta...this was $72 w/free shipping on amazon. My daughter-in-law used it, she noticed my hair had more volume and commented and I told her about this blow dryer, she borrowed it and she loves it too! She is a busy working mom, 2 kids, no time and has fine hair also. Obviously, when you have fine hair and any kind of length, volume is a problem. Now I know what to get her for Christmas next year! Obviously I wish this was cheaper and hope I can get 3yrs out of this! I am very happy with this purchase, and this time, you really do get what you pay for! |

| I bought this based on a story I saw on Good Morning America. The lady was from a Consumer Reports type magazine and rated several items. This blow dryer was on the high end of price, but so far it has been well worth the money spent. It dries my hair fast and without a lot of frizz that has resulted from other hair dryers. | I purchased this hairdryer after reading all of the reviews. I was hesitant only because of the cost but I am really glad I spent the money. What used to take me 20 minutes now takes me 5-7 minutes. The hair dryer I used to have made my hair dry and full of static. This hair dryer somehow does not dry out my hair and the static is gone. It is much quieter, too. It's fairly light and easy to handle and it has a "cool" button. I am very glad I made this purchase and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a hairdryer. |

| My hairstylist recommended this hair dryer--it is the one she uses on my hair at the salon. My hair always looks better after she styles it--and I use the same shampoo and brush that she does--that meant it was time to invest in the dryer. The dryer is pretty quiet and light. Seems like it is made well enough--must be since my stylist has been using it everyday (multiple times) for more than 3 years. I looked at upgrading since there are newer CHI's out there--but this one was cheaper and I knew for sure that it would do a good job. I don't regret not getting one of their fancier more powerful models--I'm not trying to fry my hair, just dry and shape it. After my other professional hairdryer died (did a good job--but got crushed in an accident), I began using a $20 cheapie--what a mistake. When people tell you that all hairdryers are the same, it is because they don't really know. My research has indicated that CHI is only brand on the market with full ceramic components--not just ceramic coated. I really didn't want to spend all this money--but my hair actually looks much better and others have noticed. I would recommend this dryer--it was worth the price to me. |

| I got this for wife for xmas. she stated that it is quieter than her other one. she also stated that it gets too hot when using the attachments, so she uses the cold shot when it feels too hot. without an attachment, it feels fine. i like it that it's quiet because it doesn't wake me up in the morning like her other one. my two daughters seem to like it too, but we tell them not to let it get too close to the scalp. it's been two months now and it seems to be working okay. |

I was uncertain whether or not this blow dryer would be powerful enough for me but it has turned out to work great. I have shoulder length, very fine but very thick hair. It has always taken me a long time to dry my hair so I was afraid 1300 watts would not be enough. However, the Chi has plenty of power and takes me less time than with my other dryer of higher wattage. The Chi also helps to cut down on frizziness. It runs much quieter than any other brand I have tried over the year and, I have tried many. My hairstylist uses this brand and I thought she was drying my hair on the low setting because of the low noise it made but was surprised that it was the higher setting.
The prices at Amazon are extremely reasonable compared to purchasing locally, at least for me. I am sold on Chi and feel it is worth the price as my hair seems more healthy even though I still blow it dry. |

I read somewhere that ionic dryers are not good for fine hair because it makes the hair more limp. So true. I wish I would have remembered that. Everyone wants shiny, sleek hair, & that's ok if yours isn't stick straight and baby fine. It seems 99.9% of dryers now are ionic. So I am on here today to buy a normal, non-ionic dryer. First and foremost - this is an excellent dryer. I am reminded of that fact every time I try to dry my hair with any other hair dryer. On those rare occasions I am without my Chi dryer, I find myself contemplating chopping off all my hair or worse, looking like I just fried my hair in an electric socket.
This dryer is the first dryer that I have found to be worth the money. If you are currently using a drugstore or mass market retailer dryer, put it down and step away and spend the $70 to upgrade. While this dryer may not seem as strong or as loud, I guarantee it will cut your drying time, and not only that, your hair will look much better as well. I use the concentrator on the dryer on high, and as I dry, I point the dryer down and finish with a cool shot. I find that I blow out my hair better than my stylist!
The reason that I did not give this dryer five stars is that, like another reviewer, this dryer only lasted a year for me, and the manufacturer will not guarantee the warranty since it was bought on Amazon. I will admit that I have a lot of hair and that I used this product at least once a day, and I have been known to drop it on the floor. So, if you have less hair or baby your hair dryer more, than you should have no problems.
For the 70 it costs right now, you will not find a better value anyhwere. Take the plunge and start loving what you see in the mirror! |

| I love Chi products; I got the 1" straightener in May 09, and I just had to have the blow dryer too. So I thought I could get a good deal on one on eBay; I got a used one (the red version of the 1505 - the "turbo"), and it stopped blowing hot hair in November!! I was so mad, and so I knew that I needed to just get one brand new. Amazon had the lowest price of any website/store I looked at (even with coupons!), and so far, I've had no problems. It doesn't dry my hair as fast as the turbo version, and it is a little louder, but overall, I'm satisfied. I am able to dry my shoulder length hair in 7-8 minutes, and it comes out smooth : ) I definitely recommend this product to anyone!! |

| this product is A+... when it is working. it dries my hair in fraction of the time and leaves it smooth. however it will break on you asap. i bought the hair dryer and in under 6months it stopped blowing hot. i also bought the 1in flat iron the same time. the iron stopped working in one week. it would just turn off by itself. they did replace the flat iron and so far it hasnt had any repeat problems. i have returned my blow dryer for service. still waiting for my replacement. |

| It dries hair well but not faster as the manufacturer claims it does. This drier is very quiet so noise wise it's pleasant to use. Amazon does not honor the manufacturer's warranty which is void if the drier is purchased at any place that is not a salon. So far so good, only l0 days using it. Consumer Reports gives it a good rating. However, they do not justify the suggested retail price of 135.00 for what it does. I got it for 40.00 through Amazon.com because I took advantage of the credit card offer: 30.00 off my first purchase. I only did it because it ended up being a good deal for me. Bottom line: if one wants healthy looking hair a hair dryer is not going to do it. The best thing to do is avoid using it as much as possible. It just doesn't make any sense to use a hair drier and expect its outcome to be healthy looking hair. To me that is just an oxymoron. Marketing can say anything to sell stuff. |

I previously had a small, inexpensive, Revlon hair dryer that put out 1875 watts compared to this model, which is larger but is only 1300 watts. It is quite heavy compared to my old dryer because of the ceramic plates. It actually takes longer to dry my hair than my old dryer. I do feel better about using this model because of its low emf output, but if you are going to spend this kind of money on a dryer, I would invest in a model that has higher wattage. |

It may be less damaging for my hair because the flow of air is not that strong but it doesn't do the job I need it for. |

The Farouk CHI is too big, too heavy, and comes in black only. I had a nice little dryer, Perfection Compact 1600 Model#H53C-0298 that was compact (with folding handle), light weight, and white. It lasted for a long time.
The one good thing about the Farouk CHI is that it is very quiet. I just hope it will also last a long time. |

| This product was great while it lasted. It was quiet and dried hair quickly. It also traveled well since it is light weight. However I rated it low because it was expensive and only lasted for 1 year a product with this price tag should've lasted a bit longer! |

My fellow stylist and myself have found that the QUALITY of the CHI products is not at all what we have come to expect form professional tools. There are MORE REALIABLE choices out there! Save your receipt and original packaging, if yours brakes you'll need it to get warranty service. |

| I have very thick, unruly hair so when a friend recommended the Farouk CHI, I jumped on it. I loved how quickly it dried my hair and while it wasn't salon quality, my hair was less frizzy. After a few months, I started noticing a burning smell from the unit. The smell became much more noticeable so I decided it was time to call Amazon. After speaking to a representative and then his supervisor, I learned that a) Amazon only covers defects discovered within 30 days and b) the manufacturer's warranty is void if it is not purchased from a salon. Needless to say, I was not pleased. If you're spending money on a hair dryer, it should last but this is not the case. I've discovered that the pricier the hair product, the more complicated the technology and therefore, the likelier it is to break down. If you're going to buy a hair dryer or flat iron, go to Sephora or Nordstrom's - so when it breaks down, you will have recourse. As an aside, Amazon did the right thing and gave me a refund. However, I will be more careful about reading the fine print for future purchases. |

| I was very happy with this purchase. I got it on a gold box deal and paid only $79.99. Even that, I considered expensive, but I thought I'd splurge and see what all the CHI fuss was about. It worked quickly, was light and my hair looked great. Unfortuntely, when I got out of the shower this morning and plugged it in, it was dead. I bought it in late April 2007 and this is mid July 2008, so I got 15 months of daily use out of it, but I will have to think long and hard about buying another hair dryer with only a 1 year warranty. I am very disappointed. I rationalized the cost by thinking I would use it for 5+ years. |

| This was my second Chi dryer to stop working in under a year's time, which is really disapointing considering how much they cost. This dryer worked really well until recently, when it started blowing occasional bursts of cold air. The other day it started shooting sparks (!) and then stopped blowing hot air completely. My mother-in-law bought the same hair dryer 6 months ago, and hers did the same exact thing. Farouk only offers a year warranty, so I suppose I'm out of luck. My next hair dryer will be a T3 dryer, which offers a 4 year warranty. |

| I absolutely loved this hair dryer- it dried my long, thick, hair quickly and made it smooth and shiny. When it died the first time (after about 6 months) I was able to replace it and continued to be happy with the purchase. Long story short - and THREE hair dryers later, I am unable to return the newest drier because the warranty is only 1 year and yet again it has died and only blows cold air. Considering the cost- this is a toss up. |

| I loved this hair dryer for about a year, and then it after that it would only blow cold air. This happened with two different Chi dryers, so I don't think I got a bad one. At first, it really cut my drying time and my hair looked very nice. But I have very thick (although short - not even chin length) hair, which I guess this hair dryer cannot handle. For me, it wasn't worth the price for only a year of use. |

| This hairdryer was great for about 11 months. I loved it and raved about it to everyone I know. However, after 11 months the power went to about half. And, 2 months later sparks/smoke came out and it completely died. RIP Chi Pro. I thought it would last longer for the money. I am very sadded by the loss. So, I am trying out a new brand, twinturbo. (recommended to be by my stylist) |

I loved this dryer. While it lasted.
I agree with everyone's comments about the performance of the dryer- it dries quickly and leaves your hair shiny and very easy to style. Mine lasted about 6 months before the heating element stopped working. Then you are left with a strong dryer that only blows cold air. Useless. So, if you use it every day for 6 months- that would be approx 180 uses, it cost me $90 at the time, so that would be 50 cents per use. Worth it for a great blow out? Up to you...

| Bought this in Jan. 2009 and was quite pleased until this morning when there was no more heat coming out. A blow dryer that only lasts 1 1/4 years, at this price, is not a great investment. It was never used more than a few minutes every few days. Really feel this was not worthwhile for such a short time. It seems others have had this issue too. Would not recommend this dryer. |

| I gave this two stars because it doesn't work any better than a 19.99 dryer from your local drug store. I wasn't worth the effort to return it, but I would NEVER purchase another one NOR would I ever recommend spending so much money, it is a waste. |

| I purchased this about 2.5 months ago and gave it to my son, a hairstylist. It worked beautifully until a week ago. All of a sudden, he gets nothing but cold air. Too much money to invest to get this result-so quickly! I wished it had a better warranty. I think I would have come out better purchasing directly from the company, instead of Amazon. I just wonder if this was a 2nd or refurbished product. |

Nice, quiet hair dryer that we liked while it lasted...but...
I bought this hair dryer on 5/6/09 and the heating element in it is already broken...just blows cold air now. That's pretty disappointing for the amount of money spent on this hair dryer and with such light use (used once or twice a day), so I recommend against buying it. |

| We splurged on an expensive hair dryer for my daughter only to have it stop working after 3 months! We were then told by Amazon to contact Farouk, who said we would have to pay $15 and shipping to have the warranty honored. Amazon told us to ship it back to Amazon and they paid the shipping and did replace it. Thank you Amazon, but what a hassle. We only hope it lasts longer than 3 months. We like their hair straightener (which has lasted well)but will not buy another Farouk product because of this experience! |

| I've been using this CHI hair dryer for about a month now and really don't like it. It does not put out as much hot air, or dry my hair as fast as my Rusk hairdryer. Sure it makes your hair look better/pretty, but it takes twice as long as what I'm used to. |
