Best Humidifier Out There, Best Price

This is a wonderful item. We have tried every kind of humidifier from tabletop ones to the HUGE multi-tank "whole house" type that have 2-4 large tanks and roll around on wheels. My main problem was that I was the only one strong enough to fill and carry the tanks, so I was on permanemt "water carrier" duty. For the huge ones on wheels I hooked up a hose to the faucet and dragged it to the humidifier to fill it. What a pain! This Kaz personal is by far the best choice.
It does have a small tank, but it's so light that my elderly mother or the kids can fill and carry the tank themselves. It's also cheap enough to put one in every room. And it's great for travel; just pop it in your luggage and use it in hotels or wherever. We have 1 in each bedroom, and in the living room, kitchen and office. They last almost 2 years then it will just stop steaming. The larger, more pricey ones last about the same amount of time but are way more expensive to replace. On low setting it will go almost 10 hours so the size really isn't an inconvenience.
Kaz used to change the style every year, but hopefully they'll stick with this one. The first Kaz Personal took a 1 Liter plastic bottle instead of a tank. A great idea, but the thinness of the bottle you use affected the steam; too thin walls and the water would run out, too thick and nothing happened. I found myself in supermarkets squeezing bottles as if I was picking a ripe melon. Now the Kaz Personal has its own small tank and it is absolutely the best! |

| This is the best humidifier I have ever found! I have two of them going almost constantly in the winter months. It refills easily and has no filter. It is quiet and has no annoying light to keep me awake. It goes for many hours. The only drawback might be if you wanted to add something to the water. You use plain tap water. Excellent! |

First, let me say all humidifiers need to be cleaned regularly, if not daily. The Kaz personal mist humidifier works well, is easy to clean, and I've had it for over a year- AMAMAZING. I only use mine at night and it lasts 8-9 hours on the low mist setting (just don't forget to turn it off in the morning).
TIPS:
1. If you let water sit for a while, your mist output is going to be greatly diminished. Instructions tell you not to use soap; however, when output is low I have used soap and hot water (don't submerge the base INTO water, and rinse very, very thoroughly) with fantastic, like-new results.
2. A cotton q-tip is PERFECT for cleaning the two metal parts at the bottom (cleaning them is necessary to keep it working, and it takes 3 seconds).
3. Use fresh water every time, but before you fill it up for the day/night, fill it a 1/3 of the way with hot water and shake- this cleans it and slows any bacterial growth. Never Run The Humidifier With Hot Water.
Hope this helps- I love it because it works, has worked for a while, and it was cheap =)

I have 3 of these Kaz Personal Mist Humidifiers. I love'em!! I keep one on my desk at work, one next to my bed, and one gets shuffled around between my daughters at college. I've used the one at work for almost 8 years, the one at home for 6, and just bought the third one to replace one I gave to a friend who was having some serious sinus trouble. The humidifier worked a minor miracle for him in allowing him to breathe easier.
All of the humidifiers I've had work great. I only use distilled water in them, though, since the water in our area is so hard; they would get gunked up pretty quickly otherwise. This humidifer runs extremely quiet, it doesn't take up much space, and it really makes a difference in dealing with the extremely dry winter air. I highly recommend this humidifier. I'm thinking about getting another one so each of my daughters has one. |

| Even though this is a smaller ultrasonic humidifier, it works great for my son's room at night. There is no filter, which makes the upkeep a little easier. This is the second one I have owned, and I would buy again. It is a little louder than most ultrasonic humidifiers, but still pretty quite overall. BTW - the photo shown is not the model you are purchasing. The model you will receive is here http://www.amazon.com/Kaz-Ultrasonic-Humidifier-Comfortable-Breathing/dp/B000GG6066. |

I actually like the size, it is so compact & portable, light weight, quite & cute, the performance is excellent, it last whole night. I love it, my son love it, my daughter love it, our family love it ! Highly Recommend ! |
Personal Humidifier
|
| Review Date: February 21, 2009 |
| Reviewer: W. Teo, Evansville, IN |
The emphasis is on the word "personal," which translate into small and something you can take with you to any room: bedroom, living room, etc. Be prepared to fill and refill the water about every 3 hours or so. If you take it to the bedroom, it will not last the whole night! That alone reduces its usefulness to many people.
Beside capacity, another real serious shortcoming is the mist. If you put it on the floor, since its height is only about 7", the mist does not shot up high enough. It falls right to the floor. It needs to have a longer funnel that extends out a few inches. I like to use it in the bedroom, too, but I don't want it to mess my dresser, nor do I want to get up in the middle of the night to refill it.
Now I put mine on top of fireplace mental when the fireplace is on. So the mist does not mess up the carpet or floor. But each time I turn around when I am working, the water is half empty! With that limitations (or irritations) I still rate it highly.

We just got this humidifier two days ago from amazon, and so far we loved it. We live in a very dry area, and every night was close to miserable before buying this product.
It's exceptionally quiet, and it worked perfectly so far. Since that is the first humidifier we ever owned, I cannot compare with anything else, but before we would wake up several times during night time to drink water, or because of discomfort. Many times I had my nose bleeding because of the dryness. And that is not happening anymore.
A great buy for the price.
UPDATE: The product is still working fine, but now everytime we turn it on, it makes a loud noise that lasts for a while and than stops. We don't know why that's happening, since we didn't move it, or drop it, or anything. |

| I bought it because the weather has been so dry lately and I read that humidifiers are good for lungs and skin. It's true!! Also, my lil' brother just got a terrible cough and I let him borrow it. He said that it loosened up that phlegm in his lungs (sorry to be gross but it's true). I was dissapointed when I realized I couldn't put vix in this humidifier but the price is right for it's purpose. Also, it gives off a pretty thick mist so the surrounding area gets wet but putting a towel down does the trick. Maintenance is quick and easy. Overall 8 of 10 and does what I bought it for. |

Excellent humidifer for 600sq feet with no mold or white dust
|
| Review Date: January 31, 2010 |
| Reviewer: bearboo2, CA, United States |
I read so many reviews on humidifiers I lost track of who liked/did not like what and why. I think it boils down to what you are planning to do with the humidifer you choose. This is the perfect humidifier if:
1. Area to be humidified is 600 sq feet or less
2. You have hard water and mold and limescale is a problem with filters (this one uses no filters. I am not using distilled water and have ahd no trouble so far with white dust or lime scale
3. You want to put it in a bedroon and sleep with it on (but, if you are looking for background "white noise" for a baby's room, this one is so soft you can't hear it at all all. The older one I had was too loud for me to clearly hear using the baby monitor. On the flip side, I now can't use this one for "white noise" during nap time)
4. You have pets and children that could get burned with a warm mist/ hot water type of humidifier
5. You want to put it on a small nightstand (I was at first worried the floor would get wet or it would leak, but nothing got wet and nothing leaked. The top of the nightstanf is 3 feet from the floor)
6. You want to be able to easily fill it using the bathroom or kitchen sink.
7. You only want to have to fill it once a day/night. It says it lasts 12 hours, but on low it will actually last closer to 16 hours.
The only "con" that I can think of, but truly a minor problem, is that you have to unplug it to carry it to the sink to empty out any water still in the base when you are done using it for the night. But, if you are a musician that needs it constantly on, then this would not be a problem.
For the price I paid I am very happy with it.

Efficient and quiet, good output rate for low cost
|
| Review Date: February 2, 2010 |
| Reviewer: E815User, MA United States |
The humidifier is small, efficient and very quiet. The more expensive humidifiers such as by AOS have filters built in, but then there is the cost of those filter replacements. I can buy 5 of these for 1 of AOS. I recommend using filtered water to avoid white dust and cleaning problems. The cleaning is very easy too, just take a paper towel and clean the metal part, which is a small disk size of a dime.
The humidifier has good output rate. The water tank should have been larger as that could have matched the high output this humidifier has. Currently the tank empties within 10 - 12 hours. I would have preferred a tank that I need to fill only once a day.
Note that will all ultrasonic humidifiers, the humidifier needs to be placed on a height because if the mist comes in contact with a surface too soon, it does not have time to evaporate and will cause the surface to become wet. If you plan to keep this on the floor, then get a humidifier with a fan that will blow the air, but then it will be loud and consumes much more power. I keep it on my kitchen Island edge, pointing away from island and height is about 2.5 feet. At that height, there is no wet surface and the mist evaporates before reaching the floor.
In general, I strongly recommend this. |
Better than the last one that cost three times as much!

| Say! This is a nifty little humidifier. Just needed something to keep my eyes moist at night -- so they don't weld shut. (Don't you just love dry eye?) I almost DIDN'T buy it because it is so inexpensive, but it makes mist, it's easy to maintain, and it's quiet. Better, yet, after the dog figured out I had a new humidifier running, he circled around a few times under the mist spray and settled down for a long nap --- without snoring all night. He's a lot bigger than the humidifier. What a deal! Started out this new humidifier using distilled water from the Megahome distiller I bought here at Amazon. Might as well be kind to the little Kaz. |

| Hi. I have just bought my 3rd one of these humidifiers! I love them. They are very quiet and perfect for a small-medium room. It runs all night on either low or high. And the best part... it doesn't weigh a ton to refill. I just carry the tank to the sink and fill it from there. No need to do it in the tub and break your back holding it while it fills. I've had 2 back surgeries and can't lift anything heavy, so the weight of the filled tank is absolutely crucial to me. I also love how quiet it is. I highly recommend it! I plan to buy a 4th one to take to my office. Best to all! |

| Great product! Can see the cool mist. Extremely quiet. You woudn't even know it's there unless you see the mist. As soon as we plugged it in and selected the setting it started puffing out steam in an instant. The best part is that I won't be spending so much money on replacement filters! Bought this on sale for $20 and I am very happy with it. It was the only humidifier that didn't require filters and though I had not heard of KAZ brand, I noticed that VICKS humidifiers were made by KAZ as indicated on the VICKS packaging. And yes it is best suited for a single bedroom size but with so much steam being puffed I should think it would be effective even in a larger space. |

| Seriously. I bought one of these right before the end of the year because my 78 degree office was doing a number on my sinuses. This little humidifier has made a world of difference for me. I no longer drink water like there's about to be a drought, and I don't go home at the end of the day feeling like I've been in a desert minus the sand. It's extremely quiet, even when the water level gets low. Mine has lasted for up to 10 hours on one full tank but considering how dry it is here I think even that's pretty good. |

Hi,
I have been using this product since the last 2 years and so far never had any problems with it. Its is effective for a reasonably sized bedroom or small living room. Just make sure after every use you clean the base with cold water and always remember to fill it up with cold water and not hot or room temperature water.
You don't need to think twice to buy this. |

Many involve boiling the water and are too noisy to have in my room, especially when sleeping. This little thing makes very little noise yet pumps out a lot of cool mist into the air. The only down side is that this guy is small and does not hold a lot of water, but enough for me (especially to run while I sleep. Also with a small footprint it doesn't take up too much space on my counter like other models. Most importantly this machine does for about $25, what other machines do for near $100 at BB&B. Highly recommended. :D |

I have several of these and keep one at my office one in my studio and one to pack in my suitcase when I travel. They keep the air moist and help me to avoid all of the problems of too dry sinuses. The only negative is that because they are ultrasonic they do leave a mist on things. In my opinion the value of having moister air outweighs that problem. |

It's a no-frills unit. Sometimes it's good, but in this case some frills would be nice, like auto shut off or variable mist setting, anything to stop or at least slow it from wetting everything around it, even on low setting. This is definitely not intended to be left on unattended.
Pros:
- small size.
- easy to refill.
- no filter.
- reasonably quiet.
Cons:
- no auto shut off.
- only two settings, and the low setting is not low enough.
- leaves a puddle even on low, so don't set it and forget it. |

It is good enough I bought a 2nd unit, but the knob on the first unit been some what damaged, since I managed to rotate it all around. Now I don't use the knob to turn it on and off, I use an X10 switch instead. The 2nd unit knob working just fine, I didn't try to over-rotate it, so who knows.
I like the small container also, was using a much larger one for a couple year, always a hassle to refill water because of the size, although once you do it it last twice as long. But now I realize smaller container is good since it is not a mental hassle to carry it back and fore to the tap.
Out of all the ultrasonic humidifiers, I think this is the best in practical terms for personal use. |

Almost sent this humidifier back since it was putting out little to no mist. Decided to leave it going to make sure and after about 30 minutes it finally start to pump out a decent amount of mist.
Despite the manufacturer's claim that it is rated at 2 gallon output per day, I am only seeing 1/3 gallon in 8 hours - equivalent to 1 gallon in 24 hours. As the humidifier runs it warms up the water and as a result, the mist output increases later in the day.
I am using in my 8 ft x 8 ft office so it does fairly well. Would not recommend it for any larger space. |

So the only drawback of it is that you need to refill the tank before and after you go to bed. Other than that all is fine. I am very pleased. :) |

This is NOT your normal side humidifier..Its very small, perfect for a small room! I use it for my studio apartment and its good but I still feel I need to move it to a different spot every so often. There NO filter in this although minutes after I placed the order I checked Walmart and was mad at myself for ordering the wrong one (after researching for a good humidifier) BUT it doesn't have a filter! I don't know what Walmart is talking about. It comes in different colors as the box showed.. Would have been nice if I had an option cuz I would have picked pink :)
So on a full tank it runs about 11-12 hours on the highest setting. Never checked on the low setting.
I bought it originally because I'd wake up in the middle night with extremely dry mouth and stuffy nose but now the incidence has decreased so I'm hoping its because of the humidifier!
Any questions - ask away!
Doesnt make much noise at all! if anything I think it may have once made some buzzing but other than that I cant tell its on!
Keep it on something like the top of a bookshelf otherwise if you leave it on the floor it will get moist and build up water! |

Kaz's Personal Mist Ultrasonic Humidifier is a small portable humidifier that provides relief from dry air. It is perfect for your bedroom, office, or dorm room and has two settings (high and low). The tank holds up to ½ gallon of water and the humidifier works in areas up to 150 square feet.
What I like about the humidifier:
The humidifier is small enough that it doesn't take up much room and you don't have to rearrange the room to fit it in. It needs no filter which is a major plus since you don't have to worry about the added expense of replacing the filter. There is a constant mist which helps humidify the room. It does an excellent job in my bedroom and I can really tell the difference in air quality when I use it and when I don't use it. It is a bit noisy but quieter than other humidifiers that I've used. It is very easy to clean - you basically just have to wipe it down after use - and it doesn't get any of the gunk I've seen accumulate on other humidifiers are repeated use. It is also more durable than other humidifiers that I've used which tend to only last one winter.
What I don't like about the humidifier:
The tank is a little too small. Although the humidifier is supposed to run 8 - 12 hours (on the lowest setting) I find that it barely lasts eight hours on that setting before running out of water. Make sure you don't place the humidifier on a valuable piece of furniture as "white dust" can be a problem (this can be eliminated by using distilled water which can get expensive). My bedroom windows develop condensation after using the humidifier.
Bottom-line:
While I wish the humidifier ran longer, it does an excellent job and is easy to clean and use. Recommended.

I purchased this humidifier to use in my daughter's room when she is sick. I wanted a small humidifier that would sit on her night stand and hold enough water to last only one night. The positives for us are - It is small. It holds enough water 1/2 gallon to last about 10-12 hours on the low setting, which is plenty for her room - 150 square feet. The spout can be turned to release the humid air in any direction in the room. I use distilled water to prevent mineral build-up and empty what little water is left in the morning to prevent mold. The unit is light weight and easy to carry and fill. The negatives - there is a soft noise similar to a fan sound and there is sometimes a gurgling sound. This does not seem to bother my daughter, however it might bother a light sleeper. There are only two settings and we could use a lower setting. |

| This machine is very small/light; that, together with it's excellent performance, is its virtue. It is easy to carry about, to fill at an ordinary sink, and to place in the immediate vicinity of the persons/furniture needing a reasonable humidity level. It has two rates of operation which provide a wide range & are quite adequate to put plenty of water into the air quickly or to extend the life of the cycle at lesser rates. Advisory lights & the highly desirable auto-shutoff are well designed. The actual rates of dissemination (in cc's/hour) are not spelled out as they should be for this and any other humidifiers, but informally I'd judge this unit to be reasonably powerful considering - (thought I'd never get around to it, didn't you?)- it's modest and convenient size. |

| I first came across this when I requested a humidifier for my hotel room. I liked it well enough to order one. It is ultrasonic so there is the "white dust" issue. You need to place it on the end of a table so the vapor has a chance to disipate, If you set it on the floor the carpet gets wet. All in all a good product. |

| We travel in an RV 8 months a year and stay in very dry climates most of the time. This humidifier is just the right size to raise the hummidty to keep the wood in the RV from shrinking too much. It also helps keep our skin from drying out. Sometimes the unit is hard to get started and sometimes makes noise. Both are not big issues but just the same it you should know this prior to purchase. Good unit and will keep going throughout the night. |
Warning - smaller than an identical one from Kaz

| I have an identical humidifier from Kaz that we like a lot. I should have known the price wouldn't be as low for the same unit. It really is a PERSONAL humidifier. It's quiet, it's effective but it should only be used in a very small room. Fortunately we were able to swap the larger one into the master bedroom and this personal size works fine for a 10x10 room. As with its larger version, the mist is pretty intense and creates a damp carpet from the mist projection - and that's on the lowest setting. We use it to offset the winter's dry air and really like the lack of mold-growing filters and the fact that it's extremely quiet. Compared to the standard cold-mist humidifier with a filter system, this is a much better alternative. |
Output vs. Longevity

| I have been using these units for a long time....trouble is, I'm on my third one! They are great for travel because their footprint is small, it has good output and they work great for a hotel room, but they don't last but about 18 months or so. Just long enough so they are out of warranty! They are getting harder and harder to find. I have also tried the Sunbeam portable one,(little output)and the Sharper Image portable one (output was the worst of all). The Kaz will work for you if you use it just occasionally, but it you can get a longer warranty on another portable unit, go elsewhere. I haven't found one. Would I buy this unit again?...yes. Do I wish one was made with a lifetime or at least a three year warranty?...yes |

I bought this humidifier looking at the displayed image on [...]. As compared to this image, the humidifier i received is really small. THe second image is the right image of this humidifier. Yes, its really personal. But the output of the mist is quiet high. Its pretty quite. Best part is, you don't have to change filters. Overall its not bad for that price.

good humidity, but too loud!

| I like how there was no filter, and the humidity level is good. However, its so loud that I had to turn it off before I went to sleep, making the air dry by the time I wake up the next morning. Probably would try something else next time. |

| Like the cool mist. Holds enough water to last over-night. Mist doesn't really reach very far (i.e., both sides of bed). Also ends up getting the whole area wet. |
OK but not great

| Half-gallon is too small of a tank for our needs, and it could use another level of output control. I thought this would be a great size for a small bedroom, but on its lowest setting it just pours out mist getting things around it damp. It empties its tank in just a few hours - leaving it empty well before morning. |
Small and easy to use, trickling noise

Small footprint, easy fill-up. If you place it on carpet, it will leave a damp spot by the morning about as big as the mist projection.
Quiet motor operation but there's a trickling noise which we can't really figure out which I guess could be soothing, but it can be distracting on the high setting. |
NOT SO QUIET

| While the unit has worked well, the filters advertised as being for this unit are NOT actually for this unit, so don't add them! Also this unit says it lasts up to 12 hours with out re-filling the tank, this is not actually true. The max I have had one full tank of water last between 9 and 10 hours and runs dry. |
For want of a handle I dropped the tank

I had this product for a month, and loved it. It was quiet, and perfect for humidifying a dorm room. I put it on the windowsill next to the heater which was drying the room out, and my colds went away. I used Tilex to clean it--a couple of painless sprays each week did the job. And no expensive filters to replace.
In order to avoid the harder water coming out of the tap in my room, I walked down the hall to use a community faucet that has filtered water. That way I avoided the white dust problem the manufacturer warns about.
But, after a month, when walking down the hall having just refilled the tank, the wet tank slipped out of my hand and broke, spilling water all over the place. I found a replacement tank on the internet, but with shipping it cost almost as much as a new unit. So now I'm shopping for another model that is also filterless, quiet, and hassle free, but which won't slip out of my hand when wet.
Moral of the story: wet fingers need a real handle on the tank. |
Small and good mist, loud fan to me

| I find the fan to be too loud for me on this unit. It isn't roaring or anything but it's louder than my ceiling fan by a lot. It is noticeable when I walk in the room. These are inexpensive and work fine. For my money the "Crane 2.3 Gallon COOL Mist humidifier" also sold for Amazon is a better value. It is infinitely more quiet and holds about twice as much water and seems to be able to put out more water on high and unlike this Kaz which has only two settings for water out put (Medium and High) the Crane is adjustable from almost zero to something higher than high on the Kaz. That said the Crane is a bit bigger costs about 15 bucks more, and if you don't like the teardrop shape then this may be a better choice. |

| This humidifier works well. It is easy to fill (fits in a sink) and the unit pushes the moisture out quietly, HOWEVER, you hear the water gurgling into the base. It it the most annoying thing. If you are going to put this in a bedroom do not purchase it or you won't get any sleep. This was an Amazon purchase and I love Amazon. My review for Amazon is great. I'm a loyal customer. |

This little unit does send out lots of mist vapor compared to its small size. It is a "cool" mist, not a warm mist, soooo that means you're gonna hear a motor running all thru the night. Ours don't even cut off when the water tank is empty. (is that normal?) The sound doesn't seem that loud, until you're in bed trying to go to sleep. We ended-up moving this one into another room, which is totally against what we wanted. We have a bathroom adjoining our bedroom, and it was still too loud in there...
The Bottom Line:
This humidifier works really well, but you may have to sleep with cotton balls in your ears... |

| Maybe it's my own fault, but I didn't get that from the product description. It's a weensy little thing for using on your desk at work or taking with you on business trips; in my apartment it barely lasts through one night. It's also really noisy. I am probably comparing to my last (normal sized) humidifier ( a vicks something or other, no longer available) which was great and lasted 3 years, until hard water built up too much limescale... I would have cleaned more if I'd have realized how hard it is to find one to replace it! |
Too much maintenance involved....

| It puts out a cloud of water vapor and it's not all that noisy but I had no idea I'd be spending so much time each day taking the humidifier apart, wiping it down, trying to insert my hand inside the tank to wipe that down, refilling the tank twice a day, and wondering why this humidifier doesn't have an automatic shuftoff in case I forget to turn it off. At least the filters and cleaning cartidges are easy to find. However, this is too much like an unwanted hobby so I'll be looking for another way to raise the relative humidity in my room. |
does not last all night + wets surrounding area

I bought this humidifier after doing a lot of research. We have about 35% humidity in winter and our heating system makes the dry air even worse. My skin started itching at night, so I wanted to get a humidifier that would run quietly throughout the night. What I found out with this product is the following:
+ it is operating very quietly (didn't bother me at night at all)
+ it is easy to (re)fill and clean
+ the two different setting work fine
- it does not have an auto-off function when the water is low
- I suppose it's meant for really small rooms - the humidity in our bedroom (average size) rose only from 35% to 38/39% when it was running all night
- the vapor wets the surrounding area (our thick carpet floor was completely wet after one night)
- water tank is too small to last all night (it's ok when you have to get up early during the week and shut it off after about 7/8 hours, but it's annoying if you have to get up early on the weekend because this product does not have a auto-off function)
- you can't carry this humidifier to another room after you filled the water tank
Overall, I suppose you can be happy with this product if you want to place it in small room on a water resistant surface and don't plan to operate it all night.
It worked fine, but it just wasn't the right product for me. |

| Maybe we received a dud, but no matter where I put this humidifier, the mist falls and settles onto everything around it. The surfaces get damp, and in some cases downright soaking (wood, carpet, counter tops). This could be perceived as "leaking", but I was never able to see that the unit was actually dripping water out. I followed the cleaning instructions, but it just never seemed to work like I expected. |
Unit is a bit too small

| This unit performs as advertised but, it is not big enough to do a whole room. The picture reminded me of a unit I had bought previously and used for 2 years very satisfactorily... so, I was surprised and disappointed when this one was about 1/3 the size of its predessor. I did keep this and use it sometimes on my desk. If you are only a couple of feet away from it, it is o.k.; but, if you get up, forget it. You would have to use it in a closet to do a "room". lol It's about as big as a kleenex box. The tag says dry eye relief, well, one eye at a time perhaps! |

| I can't tell you if this actually adds to the humidity. It does put out a little steam-like cloud of moisture but more importantly it puts out a pretty loud grinding noise when we first turn it on. Sounds like the fan isn't seated well in there and is wobbling against the casing or something. The noise usually stops after 5 minutes or so, but it shouldn't be there at all. Agreed? Also, make sure you click on "See All My Reviews" for people who leave glowingly positive reviews on here. If that's the only review they've ever left on Amazon, they're probably shills for the company making the thing. |
"Product Features" should indicate size!

Thank goodness for the customer feedback. I almost bought this--until I realized from reading comments that it must be much smaller than it appears. Why isn't the water capacity (or any indication of size) listed in the "Product Features"?
I have had a Kaz Ultrasonic nearly like it for almost 5 years, but it easily gets me through 2 to 3 nights on one fill. I would highly recommend that model, which I'm trying to replace now because it's getting so old (but still works fine). But since the photo of this one looks so much like mine, not giving the capacity seems misleading and unfair to those who order it. |

I've had the bigger model of this ultrasonic for over a year, and we're very happy with that.
I've run the product for a few nights. There is a lot of mist, however, the blower does not send mist up high enough to allow it to circulate the room. Next to my son's mattress, which sits on the floor, it gets the bed wet. I don't want to ruin furniture by trying to put it on the dresser in hopes the mist would circulate and evaporate.
I can only imagine this product being good for traveling, when you might not care about ruining the hotel night stand. |

I have two other humidifiers in my home which provide a light midst that is absorbed into the air. This unit, purchased for a small bedroom, puts out a heavy amount of moisture. It puts out so much water at once that within an hour the floor around the unit is wet. I've put a towel under it and the water soaks through the towel and still gets the rug wet. The only real "humidification" is the evaporation from the wet rug. I'm very dissatisfied with the unit.
I am returning this humidifier. |

The humidifier became noisy exactly 1 year after I purchased it. It is unusable in a bedroom or any room where noise might be an issue at all. Even if the thing were fixed, I would NOT recommend purchasing it from these people. My experience corresponding with them as been horrific. When the item malfunctioned, I contacted them directly through Amazon and sent a copy of my order to them and they denied I ordered it from them. Then they told me a digit on my order number was missing. I would advise purchasing the item from another vendor.
Either they are too cheap to hire coherent staff who has enough intelligence to understand how Amazon works and what to do with incoming emails with questions or they are just horrendous business people - unethical and not deserving of anybody's business.
I got this humidifier and for quite a while (8 months), it worked. I followed all the directions re maintenance. In less than a year, it has started making intermittent noise which sounds like the fan in it is doing something weird. In the interim, I found a cheaper and better humidifier like this at my local Target and the one I found at Target also offers greater control over the mist. When I purchased my Kaz, it was around $38 with tax and shipping. If the thing were $12 and you were not using it in a room where you are sleeping (so the noise won't disturb), maybe it's worth it but at this point, I would not get this particular humidifier again. I wrote the company. I don't have a lot of confidence they'll write me back with a useful or coherent reply (you know how that is). Be forewarned. |

| Received the product and was greatly disappointed even without using it. The amazon description was purposely inadequate. Smaller than expected. The statements like 2.0 gallons output make one think that the reference is to tank capacity which is only 0.5 Gallons. I would remember to be careful about buying anything online that I have not personally looked at in a store. Return policy of Allergy B Gon requires a 10% restocking fee and paying the previously free shipping charges, making returns a second mistake on the same transaction. |

| This humidifier was a waste of money. All it did was send the water vapor a foot in the air, and then it would drop right back down. I would wake up in the morning to find my carpet wet for roughly a foot around the product. I emailed the company to complain, and they said they'd take it back. However, I had to pay the return shipping, and after all that hassle, I'd probably get only $15 back. I kept it for 2 months, and a couple days ago it died. It may have been my fault, as I accidentally left it running without water a couple times. I just got a new humidifier by Vicks. So far I like it a lot better. It has a gallon tank (not half gallon) and it is warm air (instead of cold). This humidifier had an automatic shutoff for when the water tank is empty. Also, most importantly, it actually increases he humidity levels in my room! |

| I was very disappointed by this product. So much so that I returned it after less than 1 week. In my eyes, this isn't a humidifier at all. It shoots water up in the air which proceeds to fall on the ground. In my case, the water landed on hardwood floors and my bed. I've used a few humidifiers before, and they functioned properly without soaking everything in their vicinities. |
