I bought my portable nebulizer after my last scary asthma/panic attack (which landed me in the hospital for three days). The case isn't much bigger than a glasses case, so it's very easy to carry around. It runs on batteries and I rarely have to replace them. It is NOISELESS! I've kept mine nearby during long drives or airplane trips. The delivery is much gentler than a regular rescue inhaler so there's very little (if any) heart pounding. Anybody who has asthma knows that keeping anxiety levels low is key and just knowing I can do a treatment anywhere at any time helps keep me from stressing about my breathing. I would recommend this nebulizer to anyone and everyone with breathing issues.

This is the best Neb I have ever used! The extremely fine mist is more effective than the table top compressor I was using. I cannot use the MDI's anymore since they changed the propellent, so I went to this. It is so quiet I can use it sitting in a theatre (movie or live performance) and no one is the wiser. And in the case it is no bigger than a glasses case.

This seems to be a very good product so far. A word of caution --- one needs to read the instructions very carefully. I would suggest that a person buy a medicine dropper to measure the amount of distilled water being used for cleaning. The 7 ml limit apples not only to active medication being used but also to cleaning. Excess liquid will cause the unit to not operate. Also, battery changing should be done carefully to make sure the little retainers on the battery compartment fully engage or you will experience the same problem as stated by another reviewer. If you follow the directions the unit works very well and is much faster than my regular electric nebulizer. And, of course, the added benefit that it is silent. I'm glad I bought this unit and recommend it highly with the caveat to read and follow the instructions exactly.

This is a backup for an identical nebulizer...We are taking an extensive cruise and will be out of the country for some time and felt a backup might be necessary...We have been totally satisfied with the product

I bought this nebulizer for my kid who recently suffered from asthma. It gives me great comfort to know that wherever we are, as long as we have this portable nebulizer, my kid will always be able to receive his medicine during acute attacks. As a doctor and a parent, I would recommend this to anyone with Asthma or COPD specially if you're always travelling. Very handy and a potential life-saver.

This is a great product. It is compact, easy to use, and silent. This is great for me when traveling and for power outages (hurricane state). Using near dead batteries, it took about 9 minutes to nebulize 3mL of Albuterol. The case is comparable in size to my Nintendo DS case and is rigid. I can manage to fit a 3mL vial of medicine and an extra pair of batteries in the case with the nebulizer. Just be careful with the battery compartment in making sure the snaps/clips are fully engaged. Omron has great products and I plan on ordering from them again.

I'm a physician and I do housecalls. I have had more than one occasion to use this while visiting patients in acute respiratory distress from asthma, allergy and croup. I've even used it myself several times.

It works. Really. It weighs next to nothing compared to the AC wall-socket plug-in units and is small enough to disappear in my bag (it's about 32x14x12, like EMTs use) The unit itself is about the size of a 12 oz soda bottle/can.

It's been worth every penny I paid for it (about 20,500 of them, if I recall correctly) and I'd buy it again in a heartbeat.

However, that cheap plastic cover will break sooner than you think. A jam-fit wasn't the best engineering solution for this at all. Considering all the other fine points of the mechanism and elegance of the design, another couple thousand pennies worth of a more flexible polymer would make more sense. Just wrap a strip of fiberglass reinforced strapping tape around the bottom of the clear cap (the big, outside protective cover you see in the picture) when you get it, just above the semi-circle cutouts and it'll hold together. But it WILL crack.

Would I buy it again. Definitely. It's already saved a life or two.

This neb. is a wonderful product. It is small and convenient to carry around.
The only problem I have had is with customer service. I purchased a brand new neb. and there was a problem with the plastic mesh cap. They really gave me a hard time with this. Later I ordered another one for a spare at work. The unit kept shutting off. The batteries were new. They gave me a hard time with this and the matter has not been resolved as of yet. The product itself is wonderful, but only if you get a usable one. Don't count on customer service for help. At least I can't. Hope you have better luck.
works well and fits in my purse

Reviewer: Maureen,
It is not as small or convenient as my old pocket inhaler and it requires batteries, but it works just fine and it fits in a case not much bigger than a glasses case. It does require cleaning but I am very pleased with it overall.
be careful with the tiny engineered parts

I really like the idea and ease of this product however, on about the 8th or 9th use (probably in the middle of the night in a dark hotel room and trying not to wake my spouse,) the battery cover fell off.
Because I had my regular electric nebulizer along on the trip and was using it every other time, I did not notice that the cover and batteries were missing.
I went to use it later and found that the unit is now useless.
Rather spendy for a unit to come apart so fast.
I also noticed that the unit was quite delicate and if you are in a hurry or have big clumsy fingers you can easily damage it.
Other pieces had fallen apart and had to be delicately put back together before the battery cover went missing.
I liked it when I was able to use it.
