It's worth a try

I have been suffering with the occasional redness on my face for a couple of years. My face would look like it was sunburned. I had to cover up with lots of heavy makeup and it felt awful. Finally made the appointment to see my doctor when I couldn't stand it anymore.
The doctor gave me 2 different perscriptions for gels and ointments. They seemed to work but it took weeks to see any results and my face still had to be covered with makeup to hide the redness. I bought this Prosacea after reading some of the reviews and decided this would be cheaper than another $25.00 doctor visit plus the cost of more of the same expensive creams. I gave it a shot.
Boy, was I surprised. The burning stopped with the very first application and the redness was greatly reduced overnight. I no longer have the dryness that the other ointments caused.
After just 2 or 3 days, my face was back to normal and even my husband was amazed at the quick improvement. Keeping it on hand for flare ups. |
Thank God, It worked for me!

My skin went crazy...it felt like it was on fire. Raw and red and such pain! I went to the dermatologist and he prescribed "MetroLotion" and all it did was burn my skin even more.( This started when I was about 48 years old---other strange health problems were happening at the same time).
I started taking Omega 3 capsules and using Prosacea and my skin is under control. The hideous raw red skin flares occaisionally...and when it does I use Prosecea and it calms down the redness and the pain. I don't use it daily, only when I have a problem. I think that the Omega 3 has helped my skin and some of the other health issues to improve. |
finally a solution

| This is the most effective treatment I've ever used for rosacea; I just stumbled across it in a store and really didn't expect it to make much of a difference, since most gels and creams (including ones prescribed by a dermatologist) never really improved the situation. It's actually a homeopathic remedy (sulphur 1x), so it may not be the exact remedy that you need for your particular skin condition, but for my symptoms (redness, extreme dry patches, bumps) it was finally a very effective solution to a long-standing problem. It's definitely worth a try. I highly recommend it. |

First, a bit about my rosacea condition which I have had for about 15 years. I have reddened skin, especially on my cheeks (it looks like I am wearing lots of blush) and on my chin, nose, and forehead. I have enlarged pores on my cheeks and nose. I have tried a myriad of treatments from otcs to acupuncture. By the way, acupuncture did not help at all although it helped reduce my stress levels.
Over the years, I discovered that my condition worsens with stress and seems to flare up badly if I eat wheat products, especially during the cold months. I often break out in hives and the itchy rash is nearly intolerable.
I recalled that during my teens, I used a sulfur-based product on my acne which seemed to help a bit. I have been using Prosacea for three days now. It has reduced the redness considerably and amazingly enough, my pores are barely noticeable now. I apply a small amount, and I mean small, all over my face morning and night. Just a tiny amount of product is enough to do my entire face.
There is a marked odor from the sulfur but you get used to it and it is not off-putting to me. (It actually brings back some happy memories of my teen years!) I have very sensitive skin and must watch everything I put on my face. I am allergic to most cosmetics, especially those containing talc. Prosacea is not irritating to my skin at all. No burning, no stinging.
The price is quite reasonable and the least expensive of anything I have tried. The .75 oz tube will last a long time, I predict, since you only need the tiniest amount.
Give Prosacea a try. You may be surprised at how good your skin will look. |

| I've had rosacea for years - just a redness in my cheeks and nose. A prescription topical gel kept it in check. But then I started getting deep painful bumps kind of like pimples, but they lasted for weeks and were really ugly. I did some reading and realized they were another type of rosacea. My prescription gel did nothing. But Prosacea cleared them up. Definitely worth it. |

| Obviously this product does not work for everybody but I've been searching for something that controls redness and mild rosacea since Cutanix was pulled off the market by the FDA. This product works extremely well for me - and I just passed it on to my physician. I've used it twice a day since discovering it during an idle walk around a pharmacy last summer. I am really pleased with the results and only worry that it, too, will disappear like Cutanix did. BTW, I've tried a number of prescriptions but none have had any noticeable affect. Since some users seem to have a negative reaction to this product, it's cheap enough to buy and try on a patch of skin to see if it will work for you. I hope it does. It's so nice to lose the red! |
Prosacea Cream for Rosacea

| I actually found that this gel which is a sulphar based product did help flare-ups on my face. It's available without perscription and relatively cheap, so for me a good alternative to the cream my Dr wanted me to buy that was over $80! I think this product works best on mild to moderate roscea that hasn't progressed beyond the standard flushing symptoms. Certainly more advanced stages of this disease must be controlled by a Dr care plan. I also recommend the Eucerine daily lotion (has green tint) and I really like the creamy rich Eucerine night cream. |
Not what I hoped for...

| I tried this with high hopes based on all the positive reviews and advertising. It did not help and in fact made my skin worse. It dried my skin to a near crisp in no time, had a stinging sensation, and activated the redness rather than calming it. So I have to agree with others who have said that this product is definitely NOT for everyone who suffers roseacea. |

| Made my mild rosacea worse! Zenmed didn't work for me so I tried this based on the great reviews. First day, it improved the itchiness and dryness. Then after that, it made my face more itchy and raw. As soon as I stopped using it, my face went back to normal. I still have my red bumps, but atleast my face isn't irritated, itchy and unbearable anymore. |
It Didn't Work for Me

| I used this product for about 3 days. It was uncomfortable on my skin because it made it feel very tight. And by day three my skin looked more red than before so I stopped using it. Looking back, maybe my skin got more red because it made my skin dry. Perhaps it would have worked better if I had applied moisturizer too. UPDATE: I found a product called Acnevir that has reduced the amount of redness as well as cleared up the rosacea caused acne. It too has a tightening effect on the skin, but I've been applying a moisturizer a few minutes after I've applied the Acnevir and I am very pleased with the results. |
Homeopathy strikes again

This gel is terrible in every respect if you have mild to advanced Rosacea. It will make your skin feel tight, flushed, burned and will increase redness as opposed to reducing it. I've been using it for a month hoping that it will get better with time but it did not. I was not surprised then when I noticed the word "homeopathic" on the tube. This product has absolutely no medical advantages, it has never been proven to work and the only reason it is still being sold is because a massive, and shall I admit, successful PR campaign.
